Website Improvements – SEO, Conversion Rate Optimisation and User Experience Reviews
Your website is up, it looks great but some how it is just not bringing in the business you hoped it would. We have come across many sites that look fantastic but just don’t deliver. Often they have not been optimised for search engines, so no one can find them. Sometimes no one has thought deeply about how the site will be used, the User Experience (UX) is poor, so it is difficult to buy, get in touch or otherwise reach your goals, meaning the website does not convert visitors into customers as it should.
Before we do any work with you on other areas of digital marketing, we’ll make sure you site is fully optimised for search engines (SEO), users (UX) and conversions (CRO).
SEO Audits and Improvements
Our SEO audits look at the content on your site, and its technical set up. This includes checking for issues such as duplicate and missing Meta Tags, Image Optimisation, Broken Links and Pages, Redirects, and Duplicate URLs. We will also look at site speed, the user experience elements of SEO and if there are any improvements to be made there. We will have a look at your overall content and structure of the site, analysing the amount and quality of content, positions of Calls to Action, links set up, speed, identification and performance of strategic keywords and Google ranking. Finally, we may also have a look at your competitors and run a SEO health check of up to 3 competitors to see how you compare.
If you prefer to implement any changes yourself, or with existing developers, we can just run the audit, check its findings and provide you with an easy-to-understand report and “to do list” – explaining what we recommend you do, and why. If you’d also like us to work on the site and make the improvements ourselves, we can do that as we go, and then re-run the audit to show you the results.
Our SEO audits have been particularly effective at improving organic search for e-commerce sites, such as Shopify sites which are often built quickly by keen new entrepreneurs, or have content that changes frequently, and has not always been added (or removed) with SEO in mind. We also work with organisations who are migrating to a new site, changing the structure of their site or starting work in a new niche and need assistance.
Should your audit show a need for additional content, we can also help with copywriting or blogging, to enhance your SEO further.
The price and time required for an SEO audit will depend on how you prefer to work, and how often the site is audited. Do get in touch for a chat to find out more.
User Experience (UX) and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Review
Our User Experience (UX) and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) review will typically look at: navigation and structure, site speed, mobile optimisation and other technical factors. We then combine this with research of your target market, how you expect them to use your site and how they behave when they get there. We’ll use technical tools, heatmapping, analytics data, research of your market and our in-depth experience of web psychology and behaviours. Samphire Kirby has a special interest in UX, and holds a BCS Certificate in Foundations of User Experience.
As for SEO, our UX and CRO reviews result in a list of recommended improvements to your site, prioritised according to how much impact they will make. Once we know what needs doing, either we can make those changes for you, or you can make them with your existing web supplier – or we can share out the work.
For all our website projects, we can work on an existing site, a brand new site or a site undergoing redevelopment. We frequently work alongside other web developers who may not have the SEO, UX or CRO expertise of our team.
Upgrading your site’s SEO, UX and CRO can make a real difference to your website rankings, traffic and ultimately, online sales. Our experienced team have achieved up to 50% increases in conversion after our UX and CRO recommendations have been implemented.
